Felling Plans

Much of our felling work will take place in the northern area of the Woods. Here we plan on felling much of the non-native species in favour of Broadleaf species.

In the central area, we will be felling and replanting 3.6 hectares of conifer, without compromising the current broadleaf population.

Conifer is an excellent and sustainable biofuel source. Planting and ultimately harvesting conifer is an great way of creating a sustainable source of revenue for Woodland Management for the foreseeable future.

The next round of felling and thinning works will take place before the end of February 2012.
