Species to look out for

WILDLIFE SPECIES AND HABITATS previously found at Greno Woods

Conifers dominate the wood but there are also native broad leaved trees and other habitats such as heathland, woodland edge and open ground around the boundaries.

According to on-site surveys: Greno Woods sustain important populations of Shining Guest Ant – listed as a UK Priority Species.

There are also 20 recorded bird species which are listed as UK Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) Priority Species including Nightjar.
